I have several knives with better steel but this is the one I typically carry when canoeing, kayaking and camping because of its utility. This is the second one that I have bought and there are some differences from the first. My first one would flick open which is probably illegal in some states, the one I just received will not flick open but still opens/closes easily with one hand. Also the new one has a slightly different look to the blade steel, hopefully it will hold an edge as well as my first one. It has a good belt clip that will attach to a pfd lash tab while you can have the pfd lanyard/leash hooked to the carabiner clip of the knife. The grip fit is good and feels solid, the blade lock is solid. The one hand opening/closing and attacement points are the primary reasons that I carry this knife.
Ever lose a knife? Me too. Harder to lose a bright orange one. Stout blade won't snap off if used for prying. Sharp. Love serrated portion for quick cutting rope, etc. Bottle opener a real plus. Smooth opening blade. Really don't want to lose this one? Attach a lanyard to the carabineer.
