ACK's Happy Halloween.
Make Your Kayak As Scary As Possible
October is such a great time of the year.  Football is in full swing, the weather is crisp and the ghouls and goblins come out for one night to scare the bajezzes out of everyone.  I had always enjoyed dressing up and trick or treating with my parents and friends.  Then during the wilder years dressing up and hitting the town was always so much fun. Now I'm back to trick or treating and dressing up my little one.  Is it to much to dress my kid up like a kayak?

I'm sure this has been done before but if it hasn't I will take the credit for the idea.  Get your friends or family together for a Halloween paddle in a park or area that has people congregating. Think of all the fun you could have outfitting your kayak to look like a pirate ship, Arrrgghhh.  Throw some candy in a hatch and set off on an adventure.

Happy Halloween,

Come Check Us Out

TPWDFor three years running, Austin Canoe and Kayak will be taking part in the Texas Parks and Wildlife expo.

This year we will be set up near the paddle tank area as well as in our booth in the open air section.  As always we will be offering great discounts on our kayaks and as well as a raffle for a new kayak.

Please stop by October 4th and 5th to say hello.
ACK Fishing Challenge Big News
Prices Reduced
Since posting the fishing tourney we have received a great response. Overwhelmingly it has been brought to our attention that even though we are offering so much value that the price was probably too high.

In typical ACK fashion, if our customers have a problem we figure out how to solve it.  By  negotiating some better costs and receiving some vendor participation we were able to offer the same great event at half the price to ya'll.

Bring your family and friends to participate in the event as well.  There will be kayaks to demo and a catered BBQ.
Demo Days Was A Blast!

Demo Days has come and gone.  This is our third year of our kayak celebration and it went great.  The weather was perfect and the paddling was spectacular.

This year we were able to include our on-line customers in the action with some valuable savings.

We can't thank our staff, vendors and especially our customers for continually making demo days a great experience for all.

Ocean Kayak Prowler Trident
A New Look
Upgrades, Upgrades, Upgrades.
Ocean kayak took a little of the Caper and a lot of the Prowler 13 and pumped 'em full of accessories to create the Trident 11 and Trident 13. You may have seen the Trident 15, however, Ocean Kayak has gone the extra mile to create a great fishing and recreational kayak for both small and big water use.

Both kayaks feature an adjustable foot rail system that allows for more comfort seating and it also comes equipped with a new rod pod storage system.  The Rod pod is standard on the Trident 11 Angler and Trident 13 Angler versions and can be added to the non angler.  Carrying extra rods safely will never be a problem again. With the Rod Pod you're able to carry as many rods as you like with easy access while sitting down on the water.  They've surrounded the kayak with deck line so tying off an anchor, drift sock, or any other accessory will be right in reaching distance.

The Trident 11 has something the market has been looking for years with rudder capability on a shorter kayak.

The Trident 13 now features a sonar shield. This molded compartment offers plenty of room for your portable fish finder or gps unit as well as keeping it shaded from the glare of the sun. They also threw in a battery bag on the inside of the hull for complete portability as well as storage.

The kayaks tracks and maneuvers great and there is just no downside with all the improvements made.  I really enjoyed paddling this kayak, and I think you will as well.
