School's Out! Now What?
Take the family paddling, that's what!
May is one of my favorite months of the year, complete with great weather, good fishing and now that I have a child in grade school, a time to celebrate another school year passed. My daughter is 6 now and it occurred to me that I have yet to really get her immersed into to the world of paddling and what better time than now! It's easy to want to get away as paddling provides an almost Zen like experience for those wanting to get away from it all. Employee Spotlight:
Nathan Norton - Store Associate
This month, we feature one of our most energetic and probably our skinniest employee, Nathan "Nate" Norton. If you've been to our Houston store, you may have talked to Nate and chances are he left a lasting impression on you. We invited Nate to tell us a little more about himself, his move to Texas and passion for the outdoors.
My name is Nate and I have been working for ACK in Houston for about a year. Before moving to Houston I lived in Northern California where I grew up always being outdoors and participating in activities such as camping and hiking in the summer and skiing and snowboarding in the winter. I eventually moved to Houston to be closer to my grandparents and to concentrate on finishing by bachelor's degree in biological sciences. Continue reading.
