ACK Welcomes Jack
Newest ACK employee

ACK would like to introduce it newest employee/family member.  Jack was born on April 1st and should be ready to be helping you with your purchase decision in the next couple of weeks.  Look for him to be answering the phones, loading kayaks and guiding river trips.
Now would also be a good time to fully introduce the entire staff.  You are likely to come in contact with: Peter, Steve, Chris, Tom, Tony, Glenn, Mason & Rogers.  We all are eager to answer your questions so ask away.  Your emails will usually be answered  within minutes of being sent.

Thanks to everyone that was able to make it out to our two demos weekends, we love knowing that you have had the chance to test paddle so many kayaks at one time.

Lastly, we happy to announce Sonny Dodson, the winner of last month's trivia question and the $20 gift certificate.

Product Review

Paddles, Paddles, many to choose from.  All of our Touring/Recreational paddles are 2-piece paddles with the ability to feather.  Here is a brief run down of all of our paddles:

Bending Branches Whisper Dream $59 -I like this as a starter paddle for those of you that are going to paddle recreationally for 1 to 2 hours.  The whisper dream has an aluminum shaft and a nylon blade, which makes it very durable but can get hot to the touch when the sun is beating down.

Bending Branches Slice Glass $115 - The Slice Glass is a very economical upgrade from your basic aluminum shafted paddle.  It weighs less and doesn't retain heat the way an aluminum paddle does.  It will give you the ability and confidence to make all the necessary paddle strokes.

Bending Branches Slice Glass Fish $125 - Same performance as a slice glass but the added benefit of a smooth surface and a 40" tape measurer along the shaft to quickly identify those keepers.

Bending Branches Slice Crank $129 - A great paddle for those of us that have nagging wrist elbow and shoulder problems.  The ergonomic shaft creates a smoother paddle stroke that will help you get to your location with less stress.

AT Ergo Tour T4 Glass OS $169 - Don't let the low price point fool you this is a great paddle from AT.  This is an ergonomical e-glass shaft with polypro blades, this paddle gives you maximum power.  It is a little heavier than your standard fiberglass paddle but has stout durability with the ability to extend the paddle a few more centimeters and allows unlimited feathering with a new locking ferrel.

Bending Branches Slice Carbon $179 - A lightweight and very strong paddle for maximum efficiency.  The carbon reinforced nylon blades make it easy to cut through the water and leave some energy in reserve for the trip home.  The slice carbon is great for the folks that have bigger and longer boats.

Bending Branches Breeze Evening $229 -  This touring paddle is stiff and lightweight.  The carbon shaft and fiberglass blades will be in great shape for years to come.  When you want to cover some distance you want something that isn't going to wear you down.

AT Ergo Tour T4 Carbon OS $279 - The Ergo T4 Carbon is very similar in look and feel to the glass model with it's ergonomic shaft.  This all carbon paddle is not only light it is practically indestructible.  A high performance paddle for everyone!  It, too, extends 5 cemetimeters and has unlimited feathering.

Bending Branches Spirit Evening $299 - I have used pens that are heavier than this paddle.  Well not really but pick it up one time and you will be amazed.  A high performance paddle made of all carbon.  The shaft and blades are amazingly stiff which creates smooth paddle strokes every time.
