Boat Shows

Thanks go out to everyone that stopped by our booths at all of the Boat Shows.  Many of you are receiving this newsletter for the first time after signing up at the Boat Show and we welcome you to our monthly newsletter.

There is often surprise when people see us at the Boat Shows, we typically are the only kayak retailer present at these primarily motor powered events. When you visit the ACK booth, you get people power.  We really enjoyed educating all of you on our vast selection of products as well as giving away t-shirts, meeting new people and providing 3 lucky winners with brand new kayaks. Congratulations.

Thanks again for stopping by. We hope you found the right boat for the upcoming season, if not make sure you visit your friends at ACK and get outfitted soon!

Valentine Products at ACK
A Gift for Her or Him

This Valentine's Day, get the gear to coordinate the perfect his and hers couple experience. Don't worry, there is a boat for both of you, so there won't be any navigating issues....

First up is an incredible kayak in the ACK Outlet, built specifically for women, the Ocean Kayak Venus 10.

The Venus 10 is a lightweight recreational kayak for women, weighing only 34 lbs. The low profile design of the deck works well for when getting in and out of the boat. The car-topper handling system makes loading this kayak a breeze with the placement of the easy to grab center handle. There is a molded-in cup holder, a tank well with bungee and a deck mount area for an MP3 player. Another great feature is that Ocean Kayak donates 1% of its gross sales of the Venus 10 to support the Breast Cancer Fund.  Looking for something with a little more room? Check out the V10's big sister the Venus 11

Next up, the perfect partner to the Venus 10, is the Ocean Kayak Caper Angler

The Ocean Kayak Caper Angler is a compact day tripper suitable for most body types with a roomy cockpit and an impressive weight and storage capacity.  The Angler version features two flush mount rod holders, a large bow hatch, a tank well with bungee, a molded in cup holder, paddle keepers, and only weighs 45 lbs.  The Caper Angler is a popular boat that works great for fishing while doubling as an ideal recreational kayak.

Kayak Tips From A Pro
Fishman Fil Spencer

This has been some of the coldest water temps for wintertime fishing that I can remember in years. To find the fisFishman Filh I get in my custom rigged Ocean Kayak Trident 13 and work the deep water just adjacent to shell pads or mud drop offs for trout, reds and some drum.

Don't rush it, you're going to have to slow your lure retrieve way down to catch the big ones.  Work your favorite plastic bait or slow sinking bait off of these drop off for your best results.  Keep on Fishing!

Kate - The Backbone Behind On-Line Ordering

On-line ordering can be tricky.  You have to wonder iKatef you are going to reach a knowledgeable experienced person when you pick up the phone to call in, or email with a question or be routed to another country? Well, you don't have to wonder with ACK.  We have an integral person behind the scenes attending to those we value most, "You" the customer! ACK would like to take the opportunity to introduce you to our "secret weapon" otherwise known as Kate. Kate has been providing you with a pleasant customer service experience for some time now!
