Our Adventure Collector is a great way for customers to share their experiences with us. We love seeing how we have helped ‘Outfit Your Adventure’. Check out our favorite submissions from December!
The process of selecting a kayak for fishing can be extremely overwhelming. There are so many kayaks designed for fishing but always keep in mind, any kayak can be a fishing kayak if you’re fishing from it. We asked our customers what they consider to be the most important aspect when purchasing a fishing kayak and these 6 features were the most popular.
Check out this Go Play Day from the ACK Houston Store Associate, John Hayes! Last week he spent a night kayak-camping on the Colorado River in Columbus, TX. This was the maiden voyage for his brand-new Tarpon 120, so I was really excited to get it out on the water.
It’s a bit painful to admit, but summer is really over. It was cold this morning (only in Texas would 68° be considered cold) and while that may have some thinking it’s time to retire the kayaks for the season, this is not at all the case!
This year is our 10th annual Spring Demo Days and at this rate, it’s panning out to be our best yet! This year, we are honored to be able to represent and carry some of the leading kayak brands the industry offers including: Feel Free, Old Town, Viking, Wilderness Systems and of course Hobie. Revolutionary moves are being implemented in the business including the release of Old Town’s Predator XL Minn Kota and Hobie’s Revolution 16. Here are just a few of the new Kayaks that we plan on showing off.
Wilderness Systems upgraded their kayak seating in a big way with the newest addition to their Ride kayak series. They recently launched their brand new Ride MAX series featuring the Phase 3® AirPro MAX high/low seating system.
Here at ACK we always aim to bring the latest and greatest to our Demo Days and the 2014 Fall Demo Days is no exception. This season we’ve got a line up featuring new kayaks from Old Town, Wilderness Systems, Dagger, FeelFree and Hobie and we cant wait to get you all out on the water!
The weekend of July 19th I had the opportunity to fish the Bethany Wine Scholarship Fund Tournament. Bethany was a young lady that unfortunately passed away last year from a rare form of cancer.
The ACK merchandising team spent last week at the Outdoor Retailer show in Salt Lake City to check out the latest and greatest products as well as revisit others that remained tried and true. On day one of the show the team was invited to the Wilderness Systems booth to go over new products, review changes to current products, and best of all get a sneak peek of something very special, The Wilderness Systems Advanced Tactical Angler Kayak.
