We’re guessing a lot of older dads out there grew up fishing but may not have ventured into the kayak fishing world over the years for whatever reason. Maybe they’re nervous about leaving the shore and the stability of a yak, maybe they’re not interested in the physical act of paddling, or perhaps they just haven’t had the opportunity.

Checking In With KATS

Spring has sprung, and our KATS season is moving along full steam! As of now, we only have one regular season event left to fish before the championship this fall. We will be out on Lake Travis in Austin, Texas on June 10th. The championship will include the top 25 anglers from the regular season and put them to the test over a two-day tournament.

Luckily for myself, I know the right people. Most recently, I went on a 24 hr salt water kayak fishing bender (so to speak) with Josh (Photographer Extraordinaire) and Carlos (Fleet Manager) of ACK in and around Port Aransas, Texas.
