Working at an outdoor company, it’s interesting to hear people trace back their various interests to early childhood memories. This Father’s Day, we asked a few ACK-ers to reflect on their dad’s role in igniting that lasting passion.
Sometimes I struggle with buying gifts for my father. I’m not the only one, right? That being said, working for ACK has opened up my world to a whole new selection of options. Now that Father’s Day is rolling around, I can think outside of the usual boring box with the 2017 Father’s Day Gear Guide we put together this year.
We’re guessing a lot of older dads out there grew up fishing but may not have ventured into the kayak fishing world over the years for whatever reason. Maybe they’re nervous about leaving the shore and the stability of a yak, maybe they’re not interested in the physical act of paddling, or perhaps they just haven’t had the opportunity.
It’s that time of year again to acknowledge your dad, husband, or grandfather’s appreciation for the great outdoors. While you can buy into another year of, “Best Dad Ever” mugs, t-shirts, and key rings, why bother when you can give him something that speaks to his true passions. This year, we encourage you to not only give a worthwhile piece of gear, but to get outside with your dad and make a memory.
Father’s Day is fast approaching and if you need a gift for the kind of dad who likes anything relating to the outdoors, the hardest part about your shopping experience at ACK is going to be picking out which one to get! To help you narrow down your options, we’ve selected a few top gift ideas for whatever adventure personality best describes your dad.
