Down at the Texas coast lies a stretch of undeveloped island, secluded from crowds of beachgoers while filled with wildlife and unspoiled natural features. The Padre Island National Seashore is a treasure to fishermen, campers, windsurfers, and bird watchers.
Working in the Social Media landscape, I see a ton of hashtags floating among the interwebs – s0me are inspiring (#MotivationMonday), others not so much (sorry, #humblebrag – you’re not that humble). When I heard of UCO’s #Trashtag campaign, a spark flew – I love this one.
A few weeks ago I paddled with Doug, ACK San Marcos Store Manager, on the lower portion of the Guadalupe River here in central Texas. Despite the abnormally low water level, the amount of trash and litter that has accumulated just downstream of New Braunfels is flat out hideous.
