Down at the Texas coast lies a stretch of undeveloped island, secluded from crowds of beachgoers while filled with wildlife and unspoiled natural features.
The Padre Island National Seashore is a treasure to fishermen, campers, windsurfers, and bird watchers. However, not everyone treats it with the respect and care it needs to remain such a paradise.
During a recent trip down to Padre Island National Seashore, we decided to take action. On our way back from offshore kayak fishing, we committed to picking up as much trash and debris as we could fit in the back of the truck.
While we were able to make an immediate impact, there is so much more that can be done. We ask that everyone that visits the National Seashore make an effort to help clean up and conserve the this special landmark.
