We know it’s frustrating to head out fishing on the water and come back empty handed. Believe us, we’ve been there.

If you haven’t gone out yet and are gung-ho to check out a new body of water for the first time or you’re looking to fish a new structure, having the advantage of technology could give you an upper hand.

A fish finder is one of those advantages that can be very rewarding. You’ll learn the lay of the land beneath the surface, begin to understand when and where fish school up, and hopefully by the end of the day, you’ll be paddling back to shore with a full stringer.

ACK Customer Review: “Great unit for kayaks or other small boats. I’ll start with, if you’ve used a Helix, it’s just a very basic Helix, vertical screen that actually has more visual detail than a Helix 5 due to its screen orientation. You of course lose some bottom history, but I think most would agree that’s not a huge loss on most freshwater fishing. The features you lose are like customization stuff, but the basics of sonar and down imaging are there, and work great. I actually Gorilla glued my transducer mount to the underside of my Perception Pescador Pilot Pro 120 in the transducer recess, and it’s been provided nice smooth clear views like a champ since I got it.” – Rob N.
