Our Customer Service Department takes immense pride in our ability to assist our customers. For those loyal customers, you know that we have a speedy response time to the emails we receive so I am happy to announce that we have broken our previous monthly average record response time to less than 10 minutes!
Being one of a handful of girls, in a largely male dominated company and in some ways industry, can be an interesting experience. It can feel like a “good-ole-boy” paradise at times, with all the goofing around and obsessing over the latest and greatest fishing gear to put on your kayak.
It was a pleasure meeting up with TJ Greaney, Founder of the Kids Outdoor Zone, a youth ministry that provides mentorship and loving care to children through a variety of outdoor activities, to hand over a donation of just over a $1,000. A look into micro-stoves and burners for camping and paddling trips When I take off for an overnight paddling trip this time of the year, I set aside the granola bars, beef jerky and dried fruit for a warm hearty meal at the end of a long day and a hot cup of coffee in the morning. ACK employees, Nate from Houston and Seth from Austin, will be heading down to the 2011 Paddlefest in Port Aransas, Texas. For those of you who haven’t heard about Paddlefest it’s a four day long event being held in Port Aransas, Texas by a group of like minded paddlers from all over the state this Halloween weekend. There will be camping, guided kayak tours, kayak demonstrations, basic sea kayaking instruction and a swap meet amongst a variety of other activities. What better way to spend a weekend! We asked both Seth and Nate to give us some insight into this event and here’s what they shared with us.
