In our last two issues, we featured employees that worked in our warehouse so we thought we should turn to our Houston Store to introduce (or reintroduce for some) Jerron Wosel, the ACK Houston Store Assistant Manager and kayak angler. If you’ve been to the store, there is no doubt you have run into him. As in previous employee spotlights, we asked Jerron to tell us a little bit about himself.
Hello, my name is Jerron Wosel and I am the Assistant Store Manager for the Houston ACK location. I started working for ACK back in February of 2010 and have loved every minute of being part of this great company. It always makes work easier when you are doing something that you have a passion for.
I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Management. While in college I spent most of my time outdoors where I fished, bow hunted and camped. After graduation I moved back home and a friend introduced me to kayak fishing and it all went down hill from there. In the beginning it was all marsh fishing for reds, trout and flounder but eventually I found out about offshore kayaking fishing and that is when my true passion was discovered. To me there is nothing like being out on the open ocean hooked up with a large shark or pulling up to a rig that is 2 miles off the beach fishing for kingfish and ling fish. It brings a sense of peace to me and makes for great relaxation. Within the last 2 years I have even gotten my wife into paddling and we both enjoy getting out on the water any chance we can.
If you are ever in the Houston area, drop by the Houston ACK location and chat. It’s always a pleasure for me to meet fellow kayak anglers and swap fishing stories. Who knows, we may see each other on the water sometime soon!

Editor’s Note: Give Jerron a shout out, I am sure he’d love to hear from you!
