The Saturday before last I went to the documentary viewing of Living with the Trinity River: A River’s Story.  The viewing took place at Houston Community College’s Performing Arts Center and was sponsored by ACK-Houston, The Sierra Club and The Houston Audubon Society.

ACK-Houston set up a booth to help spread the word on kayaking in and around the Houston area.  The turn out was great!  I was surprised how much support that the community gave this film. It was wonderful to see how many people really care about our surrounding environment and nature in general.   

As a student working toward a forestry degree I was impressed by the film told and how it told the story about the people of Texas mobilizing to save the Trinity River from destruction.  If you are interested in more information about this film and the Trinity River check out this link:
